They seem to go on for ever. We stopped at Armacao de Petra for a late lunch in a restaurant right on the beach. It was a very modern building with very cool hanging beaded lights that seem to capture the airiness and colour of the water. Beyond our table a father and son flew a kite, people strolled along the beach and others, like us, sat and watched the world go by.

There is much to be said for the laid back beach vibe and the art of people watching. After our meal we join the other beach walkers and took a stroll pass the fishing huts and up to the castle before turning back. Our last day exploring the Algarve left us feeling relaxed and ready to seek out our next adventure.
